# Authentication

> The LeadsPedia API uses **HTTP Basic Authentication** to authenticate requests.

Each API request must include your API Key and API Secret as credentials.
- **Username:** Your API Key
- **Password:** Your API Secret

## Making an Authenticated Request
Include your credentials using HTTP Basic Authentication when making API requests.

**Example using cURL:**
```
curl --request GET \
  --user "YOUR_API_KEY:YOUR_API_SECRET" \
  "https://YOUR_API_ENDPOINT"
```
The API Key and API Secret are encoded in Base64 and sent in the HTTP `Authorization` header.
```
Authorization: Basic <base64(API_KEY:API_SECRET)>
```
